St. Michael’s Cathedral
St. Michael’s Cathedral, 1845, Toronto, Ontario
As consultant to C.A. Ventin Architects responsible for condition survey, cost estimates, priority recommendations, and development of drawings and specifications for the restoration of the stained glass windows.
Built originally in the 1840s the church evolved throughout the 19th C.
Although most of the stained glass windows date from the
early 20th C., this example is likely Canadian made and
may date from c.1870 – early for Canadian glass.
Before restoration …
…and after restoration with the original paint colour replicated on the Gothic window frame.
