Centre Block, South Façade Restoration, Parliament Hill, Ottawa (c.1920)
Provided expertise related to the conservation and thermal upgrading of original steel andleaded windows, and addressing upgrade or replacement of existing non-original windows, approximately 1600 windows in total. Responsible for condition survey, report production addressing options, recommendations and costs, as-found details, production of details and specifications, design of replacement units, development of both restoration and reproduction prototypes as well as site review while the work was underway. Consultant to Heritage Conservation Directorate, Public Works and Government Services Canada.
The Centre Block contains both the House of Commons and Senate.
The few remaining original steel windows were restored.
