Halifax Armoury

Halifax Armoury, Halifax, Nova Scotia (1895-99)

This is one of the many armouries built in Canada to the design of Thomas Fuller and one of the oldest drill halls still existing in Canada. As part of a major building envelope restoration project currently underway, Craig is responsible for advising on the conservation and thermal upgrade of the windows, doors and architectural iron work. The restoration of one bay of the building, undertaken as a mock up, was recently completed.

This image shows two of the original windows restored with the original paint colour replicated.

This is one of the interior "storm" windows which Craig designed, immediately prior to installation.
